My brain has been completely absorbed by tactical work matters these past few weeks. So apologies for the lack of presence here and elsewhere.
Specifically, this means I have not been able to focus on developing the output for Project Two. It you are one of the 148 people that has already responded, apologies you will need to wait a little longer to see the results. If you have not yet contributed, it’s not too late - just click this link.
This morning I am recovering and reflecting on a wonderful 3 days of golf on the Moray Coast. One of my favourite settings in the entire world. Courses that were a joy to play in idyllic weather with all the fun, mischief and pleasure of being amongst great friends - old and new.
The hospitality was also superb. One night we had dinner at Gordonstoun School. A unique experience for me. So lucky to have seen a little of the reality behind the myths and to hear just a bit of the passion the three former pupils who were in our group have for the school.
Not sure I can recall a tour with such a variety of evening venues. As well as the school, we dined one night in our hotel and another in a hugely informal, raucous and lovely beach restaurant called Bootleggers. All were great choices. All showed the warmth and hospitality of the locals at their very best.
So thank you to those who organised and made the whole trip so special. Hopefully the pictures tell a little of the story.
I am not entirely sure refreshed is the right word on the morning after but I know I will feel the benefit for many weeks ahead. The contrast with the stuff I have been working on could not be more stark.
